Mexican journalist Arturo Hernández learns about the routine of iconic rocker Alex Lora and that of his band, El Tri, by visiting the dive bars and venues that hold the secret to their success. Also, Arturo visits Alex at his home, where he witnesses firsthand the profound bond between Alex and his wife/manager, Chela Lora.

Alex Lora is the father of Mexican rock and a living legend. Having celebrated 50 years as the frontman of El Tri, Lora's career is no small matter: 50 albums released and more than 30 million copies sold. Dubbed "The Rock & Roll Chronicler" by the music press, Lora's songs touch on social issues such as immigration, corruption and the revolutionary movements, but are always written with humor and irony. For this reason, his songs are deeply rooted in Mexican society, who consider him "the voice of the people."
