Nebahat, a teacher in her 20s, has just been assigned to a school in a rural village of Anatolia. She realizes that her students struggle to make it to school. They hitch rides on tractors or whatever vehicles they can find. She asks the Ministry of Education for a bus, but the vehicle is useless without a driver. Nebahat decides to get behind the wheel, but she needs to learn how to drive first.
