Won, the 25th king of Goryeo and descendant of Kublai Khan, is uninterested in politics and power struggles. Won spends his time with his friend Rin. On a visit to the scholar Lee Seung-hyoo, they meet San. When the two men fall in love with San, their life-long friendship begins to fall apart.
