Lucas Pereyra is a Buenos Aires-born writer who, in the midst of an existential and financial crisis, travels to Montevideo to collect payment for a book he wrote and to meet up with Magalí Guerra, an admirer who is 20 years his junior. But crossing the river that separates his monotonous life in Argentina from the mythical capital of Uruguay transforms Lucas into a different person.
