Empowered with a new lease on life after a brush with death, María Paz seeks to mend the fraught relationship she has with her grown children and invites them to spend the holidays with her. But just as her children expected, María Paz’s conflictive nature reappears and they soon find themselves facing the dreaded mother they have always known.
After a long stay in the hospital and a near-death experience, María Paz has a new lease on life and sets out to repair her conflictive relationship with her children by inviting them to her country home to spend new year’s celebrations together. But her grown children — knowing their mother — aren’t convinced by this latest motherly attempt and soon enough, the old, dreaded María Paz reappears, pushing the family to the brink of madness.
