In order to keep his job, Polito is uprooted from his home in Mexico’s southern Yucatán state and forced to relocate north, far, far north, to the infamous border city of Tijuana. While his wife and son stay behind, Polito begins the long journey to the land of drug traffickers, dangerous cartels, and bad “hombres,” or so he's been told.
In this Spanish-language comedy, Polito, a lowly postal worker from Mexico’s southern Yucatán state, is told that he is being transferred far north, to Tijuana, and if he refuses he’ll be fired. Preferring not to move to the infamous border city, Polito’s wife opts to stay in Yucatán with their son, while Polito sets out on a journey that will take him from one corner of Mexico to another and end with him in a land of cartels, gangsters, cholos, immigrants, traffickers, and “bad hombres,” or so they say.
