Mika is in a rage. After she fails her end-of-year exams and then accidentally sets fire to her teacher’s car with a friend, her parents announce a change to her summer plans: instead of going to summer camp, she’ll be hitting the books – at her strict grandmother’s stud farm. She's not really into horses, but Mika still isn’t going to sit with her head buried in a book all summer under the watchful eye of stable boy Sam. In the darkest stall at the stables, she meets the wild yet shy stallion Ostwind. Neither Michelle, the most experienced show jumper at the farm, nor Mika’s grandmother have been able to tame the dangerous horse. Mika is magically drawn to the nervous animal like a magnet and she sneaks into the stall despite the warnings. It is the beginning of an extraordinary friendship, where Mika discovers her true passion and a very special gift: she can communicate with horses! Will she manage – against the odds – to tame Ostwind?
