Claudia, the rowing hero of Leer Police, collapses during a rowing competition and dies. Cause of death: heart failure. But somehow only Inspector Brockhorst seems to be devastated by Claudia’s death. Unlike a lot of their colleagues, Brockhorst liked Claudia, and wants the rowing competition to go ahead in her honor. But who could take the deceased’s spot? Officer Süher Özlügül is at further training, and Henk Cassens, as a man, is not allowed to row in the policewomen’s boat. So, Brockhorst has no choice: he needs the help of pharmacist Insa Scherzinger. Insa uses this chance to join the ongoing investigation surrounding Claudia’s death. But Insa cannot row. While Habedank prepares Claudia’s funeral, Insa uses the rowing practice to investigate inside the rowing club. Even Henk strives to solve the case, after he meets the attractive rowing instructor Karen Schröter at the rowing club. But soon, even Brockhorst needs to admit that he misjudged Claudia.
