A newly appointed teacher, Henry Chen (Donnie Yen), has just arrived at his school to discover that it is in danger of being forced to close down. Assigned to take over a class of problematic students, he makes use of some unique teaching methods. Just as students begin to develop a desire to learn, an accident occurs where Henry bears the brunt of public criticism. As he faces the grim prospect of losing his teaching job, an unlawful businessman gets involved in the sale of the school's land. As unrest on school grounds ensues, teachers and students have to join forces to protect the school.
